Some things to let you know about:
- Anna Kornbluh and Krista Muratore built Against AI, a resource for teachers who aim to resist the use of AI in their classrooms.
- Matt Seybold and I published “The Crisis of the Humanities is Over; That’s Not a Good Thing” in The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Meanwhile, I will be giving talks in Spring 2026 at Stanford (mid-March; probably includes a writing workshop for graduate students), the University of Florida (late March), and Indiana University-Indianapolis (April), where I’ll also be doing a workshop on curriculum development. This summer I will hopefully be at the Modernist Studies Association conference in Loughborough, UK.
As for other writing work: I am planning to finish the end of history book this summer. A proposal and sample chapters for a “being in the universe” book (co-written with Derek Fox) is with a press. And by late summer I should have some revisions and 20-30pp of new writing for the second edition of Elements of Academic Style.
